Guess who fell sick at the start of the new year lol
Well, I guess I had brought this upon myself: when I found out my bid for my SP module was unsuccessful, I gave myself a sore throat when I groaned about it out of frustration. And then I got a fever in the middle of the last night at our temporary place on Saturday night (31st). But I didn't think much of it, and wasn't up for getting out of bed (body felt too heavy and slow) to get panadol for it. Things got worse when we moved to my grandparents' place (the bathrooms still aren't done until the 5th, and staying at the temporary apartment costs money).
I had a pretty bad fever last night, but I didn't want to take panadol 'cos there were only three tablets left, so I just had to tough it out. I managed to get out to drink a little barley, pee, and wash my face with cold water, to try and cool down. I even slept right in front of the fan (oh yeah, the aircon here doesn't work lol), and somehow managed to eventually sleep, even though it was difficult to. Also, I didn't think that your ears could hurt when you have a fever, but I think that's like a build up of pressure in your head and sinuses or something. When I woke up, I was still a little warm, but not very, so yeah, I slept off a fever lol
Right now, my throat isn't that sore, but it still feels like something is in there. The other problem is my nose which is a little blocked, and phlegm, but not very serious. Still annoying though lol I guess the only thing I can do is to hydrate myself. I'm not the only one with problems though: turned out when my parents knew I was sick, my sister and brother also came down with diarrhea lol But I think they're getting better, while I'm still stuck with a half-blocked nose, phlegm, and a sore throat :/ I guess it's a good thing school starts on the 9th, otherwise I'd be screwed in two ways: sick, and no home lol
In the meantime, I've been spending my time playing games. I started with Undertale and 100% Orange Juice while I was bored in the temporary place, and finished the pacificst route. Then Hans bought Portal 2 for me so we can play together, but since internet hasn't been good, I've finished the single player story. I then bought the first one last night, but I realised that it's not as exciting as the sequel. I also redownloaded Stardew Valley (I stopped playing it 'cos it was super slow on my previous laptop). Hopefully they don't take up too much space though, 'cos I was initially hesitant to download games onto my school laptop, but hey, nothing bad has happened so far. So yeah, things aren't so bad I guess lol
